A person convicted of a First Offense DWI faces the following penalty, if convicted:

  • Not less than a $500 fine and up to a $1,200 fine;
  • License loss anywhere from 9 months to 2 years

How To Get Your License Back?

The court may suspend up to 6 months of the license revocation provided you comply with certain requirements. You need to enroll in the Impaired Driver Care Management Program (IDCMP) and will be required to submit to an alcohol and drug abuse screening within 14 days of the conviction. Additionally, you will be required to complete the Impaired Driver Education Program prior to getting your license back.

An experienced DWI attorney will help get you navigate this oftentimes confusing terrain and get you driving again as quickly as possible.

You need an experienced lawyer to help fight your DWI charge. Attorney Justin Hayes has years of experience fighting DWI charges. Better yet, unlike most lawyers, Hayes offers consultations and reasonable payment plans.
